We are always available for free consultations and to answer any questions you may have, but here are a few items that you may find helpful.
Are you a fiduciary?
Yes. We are required by law and moral obligation to operate in the best interest of our clients.
Are you registered?
Yes. Latham Financial is a Registered Investment Advisor. We are registered in Pennsylvania and are able to work with clients in all U.S. States and Territories. Registration information about Latham Financial can be found on the SEC's website at https://adviserinfo.sec.gov
If I have an initial consult with Latham Financial, will I get charged for advice?
No. We never collect any payment from clients until a signed client agreement is in place. We’d love to have an initial consultation with you, learn about your situation and goals, and determine a path forward.
What should I bring to the initial consult?
We can begin the discussion with what you have. However, to be most productive, it is helpful to have a list of your main assets and debts, approximate income and expenses, and info about existing investments. We'll discuss questions like: How much do you want to invest? What are your goals for investing? What is the timeframe for your investing?
What if I don't already have an investment account?
We can help you open any needed investment accounts including IRAs, Roth IRAs, Brokerage accounts, etc. Charles Schwab is the custodian and brokerage for our clients' accounts.
Will my assets be safe?
Absolutely. All our client assets are custodied by Charles Schwab, a multinational financial services company with over $10 trillion in client assets.
What does investment management cost?
We charge 1% (annually) of assets under management.
Where are you based?
Our office is in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, but we gladly work with clients nationwide.
